‘Peter Pan’-The Musical by J.M.Barrie

Once upon a time there was a little boy who decided he would never grow up and lived in neverland with the fairies. His name was Peter Pan. And one night he broke through the barrier of neverland into the world of real children. Never was there such a happy family as the Darlings who lived at No. 14. There was Huggable Mrs. Darling and Mr. Darling who did something in the city. Then there were the children: Wendy, who was nine; John, who was seven; and Michael who was four. Every night Mrs. Darling, would sit in the nursery and tell the children wonderful stories. One night, as she was finishing a story and the children were drifting off to sleep, she saw something move at the window. Puzzled, Mrs. Darling looked out and saw something which looked like the shadow of a boy. “How strange” she thought, shivering at she knew not what. She folded the shadow carefully, put it away in the chest of drawers, and lowered the nightlight before kissing the three sleeping children goodnight.

Cricket

Cricket originated in England in the 15th Century. Cricket matches were advertised in the early 1700’s. The first country match was played in 1779. In 1750, they fixed that the pitch will be 22yards with a two stump wicket and they were22 inches high and 6 inches wide. The first cricket ground to be opened was ford’s cricket ground in 1781. The first test match was between Hilly white’s English touring side and Australia in 1877. After the 1950 the ‘Body Line’ series began.

Our present Indian players are Sachin Tendulkar, Dravid, Saurav Ganguly, Laxman, Jadeja, Srinath, Anil Kumble, Prasad, Robin Singh, Agarkar etc.

In the world cup series recently held,  the Indian team played and lost to a team like Zimbabwe. The team with the best performances were selected, It was a tough game and there were bets as to who would win but at the end Australia won and took the world cup 1999.

Our team has not performed well despite being in possession of world class batsmen like Sachin, Saurav and Dravid to name a few, However each team goes to through ups and downs time and again. It is not easy to beep a good team down. In the the near future we hope to regain a good position in world cricket ranking as a team and regain our past glory.

Unity Is Strength

Every person in the world should have books to read. We can read story books, books of Maths, Science, English  and many more.

Now I am very small to read big books of Science, English, Maths etc., but I read story books. I also listen to stories from my grandmother about God, animals etc.

I have heard many tales from my grandmother and my favourite  tale is “The Three Friends”.  In this story three fast friends the Elephant, the Ant-eater and the Monkey had a quarrel about who was the smartest. They asked Uncle Crow for help. Uncle Crow does not give them the answer at once. Instead, he gave them a simple job to do. While doing  it the three friend learnt that “Unity is Strength”.

In this small story we learned that we should not be against each other. I as girl studying in 1st Std think that the whole universe should be united and live with peace together.

Books are our most faithful friends. Our friends may change or die. But our books are always ready to talk to us.

Laughter

Laughter keeps our health in a good condition. It relieves us from all the tensions that we have to bear in our life. After busy and tension filled day when we return  home and someone cracks a joke or makes some fun of someone or if we get some other opportunity to laugh we feel very fresh and alive. We forget all about our hard work and the tensions that have bothered us throughout the day.

According to medical science laughter is a must for human beings. Humans are the most hard working among all the living things present in the world. They should get some refreshment which would divert all their tensions and replace them with feeling of well being. This refreshment comes with laughter. That is why whenever we are sad or under great tension we must try to laugh. We are not able to do so successfully, but try we must.

Laughter has many advantages it helps in keeping our life existing and bubbling. It exercises the facial muscles.

It gives pleasure to the person who laughs and those around him.

Laughter creates happiness and a beautiful view of life, it is said that laugh and the world will laugh with you, cry and you cry alone. Laughter attracts people specially if it is sincere and tinkling and open hearted. No one stays around a man who cries all the time.

It isn't surprising that a laughter club  has been started! Here the people gather and laugh for one and half hour for no real reason. They laugh loudly and whole heartedly. It is just to feel good. It is said to be good for the heart as it relieves tension.

To conclude it is important to laugh like a gurgling stream and one that reaches the eyes at least once a day. lets say-

IT HELPS TO KEEP DOCTOR AWAY........

COMPUTER

A Two Sided Genius

In modern age life is getting easier with the inventions of new machines and gagets. One of the very important machines are- "The computers."

Computers have played an important part in our life. It has become a very necessary implement in our Industries.

Today computer are much better and cheaper than the older ones. Computers are very important calculating machines. Earlier only memory could be used to do calculating. Then came the calculator. This was inefficient as it could calculate only up to certain number of digits. Then came the Computer which was much more efficient than than the calculators.

Computer animations are used for making cartoons and films like Dragon Heart,Anaconds, Jurassic Park, etc. It also has E-Mail facility and can give world news all over. These are only few of the many advantages of  computers. Both its ability and its variety of uses are innumerable.

Now let us talk  about its disadvantages. The first problem is of power failure. the file is cleared if it is not saved. Viruses destroy the computer and make it useless. It aslo affects our health. If we work on a computer for hours then our fingers move and the rest of the body remains  at rest, and our health is affected. Nowadays people depend on computers even for small problems which makes their  brain dull. Thus computers are a mixed blessing.
