𝑨 𝒄𝒚𝒃𝒆𝒓 𝒔𝒆𝒄𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎 𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒍𝒆𝒅 ‘ 𝑺𝒂𝒘𝒅𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝑵𝒂𝒈𝒑𝒖𝒓' was conducted at The CDS School for high school and higher secondary students. The event aimed at enlightening students about the 𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒊𝒈𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒏𝒆𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒂𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒚 𝒔𝒂𝒇𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆.
The session was graced by several eminent speakers and experts in their respective fields. 𝑫𝒓. 𝑹𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒔𝒉 𝑲𝒓𝒊𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒊, 𝒑𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒓 𝒄𝒚𝒃𝒆𝒓 𝒑𝒔𝒚𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒈𝒊𝒔𝒕, 𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒅 𝒄𝒚𝒃𝒆𝒓 𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 1𝒔𝒕 𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒓.He heighted how technology addiction is gradually harming the minds of the new generation, leading to reduced productivity and emotional imbalance. He stressed the need for digital discipline, advising students to limit screen time and engage in offline activities.
𝑴𝒓𝒔. 𝑺𝒉𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒅𝒉𝒂 𝑫𝒉𝒐𝒎𝒏𝒆, 𝒂 𝒄𝒚𝒃𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒆𝒄𝒉𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝒎𝒆𝒎𝒃𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝑵𝒂𝒈𝒑𝒖𝒓 𝒑𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒄𝒆, spoke about the increasing cases of digital fraud. She explained how social media platforms like Instagram and WhatsApp can unknowingly reveal personal information through profile picture, statuses and posts. She recommended students to filter their followers, avoid accepting requests from unknown people and regularly check app permissions. She also guided them on how to uninstall unnecessary and suspicious apps to ensure privacy and data safety.
𝑴𝒓. 𝑺𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒃𝒉 𝑽𝒊𝒅𝒉𝒚𝒂𝒅𝒉𝒂𝒓, 𝒂 𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒅 𝒑𝒔𝒚𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒈𝒊𝒔𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒐𝒓 𝒂𝒕 𝑺𝒖𝒅𝒉𝒊𝒓 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑺𝒎𝒓𝒖𝒕𝒊 𝒇𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, shared valuable insights into the psychological impact of mobile and social media addiction.
𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒂𝒍 𝑴𝒓𝒔. 𝑩𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒊 𝑴𝒂𝒍𝒗𝒊𝒚𝒂 addressed the gathering and emphasized that students should understand both the benefits and harms of social media. She urged students to be responsible digital citizens and use technology for learning and growth not for distraction or harm.
The program was conducted by the 𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒂𝒍 𝑴𝒓𝒔. 𝑵𝒊𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒍𝒂 𝑺𝒊𝒎𝒐𝒏, who warmly welcomed the guest and later expressed a heartfelt vote of thanks to all speakers and participants.
The session concluded with the understanding that cyber security begins with awareness and responsible usage. Students were urged to be alert, thoughtful and cautious in the digital world.
